John Deere offers three mower decks that give you the performance, superior cut quality, and grass handling options you want and deserve.
One of the most notable decks of the three is the Accel Deep Mower Deck. The deeper draw and flat-top design of the deck creates a better quality of cut at faster ground speeds. The Accel Deep Mower Deck is available in 42-, 48- and 54-inch widths. The decks feature a wide discharge chute opening for even clipping dispersal, flip-up spindle covers, and MulchControl™ capability.
Accel Deep Mower Decks deliver excellent cut quality. The flat-top design allows for a clean flow of material throughout the deck and out of the discharge area.
Accel Deep Mower Decks have few places for material to collect on top of or underneath the deck, which helps the mower deck stay cleaner. Additionally, the decks are easier to clean when serviced.
Designed with strength and durability features, Accel Deep Mower Decks provide many hours of trouble-free operation.
Durability features include easy-to-access spindle grease fittings with flip-up shields double-captured anti-scalp wheels for greater strength, reinforced outer edge of the deck protection for strength and long life, and dual-stage electrostatic primer and powder-paint coatings to provide extra protection from rust.
With the optional MulchControl™ kit installed (special mulching blades included), changing from side-discharge to mulching or vice versa is simple. Simply flip a lever or touch a button.

High-capacity Decks
High-capacity decks feature a wider and higher discharge opening which provides even clipping dispersal for an excellent finished appearance. HC decks are designed with 9-gauge steel and feature a deep-deck design for excellent airflow, MulchControl™ capability, and AutoConnect capability. (AutoConnect is only available on John Deere X700 Signature Series Lawn Mowers)
High-capacity decks are available in 48-, 54- and 60-inch widths.
Edge™ Cutting System
John Deere’s Edge™ Cutting System is tested and proven and features a smooth underside to prevent grass buildup and clumping. The deep-deck mower design lifts grass for a clean, even cut.
